30.09.2011.  Demonstration of OP4L software at eLearning 2011 A special OP4L software demonstration session has been organized at the eLearning 2011 conference, September 29-30th. After the demonstration, a long discussion took place which had to be interrupted by the organizers due to the time constraints. The attendees had many positive comments about the OP4L idea of how to use social networks and the idea of online presence in the learning process. They also suggested other ideas regarding the motivational aspects, such as giving recognitions to the users that gave good contribution to the community. However, some concerns were expressed regarding the privacy issue. The fact is that Facebook is not open-source and its data could be used in an inappropriate way. Universities should consider if Facebook should be used for exchanging data between students.

04.10.2011.  UNIM researchers have presented the OP4L project as a part of their Faculty presentation at the Info Fest 2011 conference, held on October 2-7th in Budva, Montenegro.  Ivana presented the main idea of the project and the activities conducted during the first year of the project. After a short presentation, a number of positive comments have been received about using social networks in learning process and many professors from different faculties and universities expressed their interest in the project results. In particular, they were interested in the results of  practical use of the software developed and in the experience in working with students. Also, they proposed to measure how the software helped in improving the students' knowledge and skills or define any other kind of related measurement and present the results. Most of the issues mentioned actually correspond to our further activities during the second year of the project, and we promised to present the results at Info Fest 2012 Conference next year!  

September 2011.  Vladan Devedzic has presented the context of TEL and OP4L research at an interview given to the Serbian national TV network.

December 2011.  Vladan Devedzic, Ivana Ognjanovic, and Ramo Sendelj talk about the OP4L project for the Atlas TV network in Montenegro.
